Inform us of your child being absent:
Compass - If your child is going to be away, you can submit an attendance note to advise the school. Select Add Attendance Note (Approved Absence/Late) on your Compass app. You will need to complete one note for each child for record keeping purposes. No further action is required.
Email - Send email to Pineview.PS@education.wa.edu.au detailing student absence. Email must state student name, dates for absence and reason for absence. No further action required.
If your child is absent for longer than two days in a row, their classroom teacher will follow up via phone call or email.
Late to school
Key times:
- School gates open: 8:15am (Children should not arrive for school before this time)
- Classrooms open: 8:20am
- School starts: 8:30am
If arriving to school after 8:30am, please come to the office and collect a late note to hand to the class teacher. It is important for your child to do this as the school record needs to change status from absent to present.
If your child arrives after 9:40am or is absent, you will receive a message to indicate your child is not in attendance at school.
